Why You are Not Consistent on Your Online Business

You are not patient. You want the results directly at the moment. That’s why you will always be stuck at a 9–5 or freelancing job. People pay you for their assets. You give it away.

If I am not working for cash then who will pay my bills?

Answer: nobody, but you. You are the one who will pay your bill.

I am not writing this to influence you so that you resign tomorrow. I just want you to work but with your own terms and conditions. It is so much better than following rules created by someone who doesn’t even know how long you slept last night.

Go online. Search for opportunities. Create your existence. Start your online career. Take back your time.

Existing online doesn’t mean you have to leave your job. It needs time to grow and build everything. You know which free time you can use for that besides working for your boss or clients.

Limit/stop social media scrolling

Sometimes we need sparks or ideas from others in social media. No problem.

But, don’t fall into the scrolling trap. It costs you time. Never end scrolling. Limit or even better stop your dependence on that.

Your dopamine will spike. You got new ideas and it flew away, replaced by other ideas. Ideas are like a bird hanging on the tree. It won’t last if you don’t tie it.

Write down all the ideas you’ve got. If it’s not useful today then it will be useful someday. You can’t execute all of your ideas at one time at a moment.

So, don’t look at your social media for ideas too long. You don’t need that. Your time will continue to pass, so when will you create?

Hold your excitement, do at normal speed

Once you are really excited to execute your idea, hold yourself. Normalize your breath and move. No rush please.

Too much excitement on something may lead you to inconsistency as it will just be hot for a moment. You do a bunch of work for that one idea all at once and leave it when you feel stuck. Trust me, a tree needs time to grow and flowers.

You will lose so much energy at the beginning and have not enough fuel later. You need a stable energy to stay consistent for your online creation even if it’s just a sentence of caption.

Hold yourself from too high an excitement level. Take your action at normal speed. No rush please.

Overthinking

Overthinking won’t help you to get your job done today. It made things more complicated rather than done. You need to do the action.

One action at a time.

Your brain might work faster than your act but you have to catch the flow. Don’t let the chains disconnected by thinking too far. Thinking about one thing over and over again also drains your focus and energy which you can use for many things ahead.

Just do it. Simplify it. Run it smoothly. Stay away from overthinking. Make it short.

By time, you will improve with lots of information. You will get that because you face it. You do it in real life. Don’t overthink it until you can’t get it done.

Not believe the process

Practice makes perfect.

You can’t stay consistent because you do not believe in the progress that you will make during the process.

You disbelieve consistency brings success because when you fall, you give up and don’t think that another way may work. You prefer to walk away and back to your normal life, normal habit, comfort zone.

You live life like that for the rest of your life. Feeling comfortable and losing that competition.

Consistency is a part of the process. Even if you fail from what you aim for, you have to stand up again, over and over again.

Procrastination

I’ll do it later.

You often tell yourself, “I’ll do it later,” thinking that you’ll have energy or time in the future. You end up procrastinating for the rest of the day. And that’s the main reason why you are not consistent in your online business.

The truth, you just create a snowball effect of unfinished work. Task delayed, deadline passes, then you feel stressed. It decreases your motivation further. This cycle continues and your online business is stuck.

Watching a few videos might be good for a small break. But suddenly 2 hours wasted. At the end, you find yourself behind the schedule. The quality of work is low as expected.

Overcome procrastination. Build consistency in your online business. Build ways to manage you away from procrastination.

Eliminate procrastination from your list and all activities which are able to lead you to procrastination.
